DVD43 is a free piece of software for Windows. It acts as a driver for a DVD drive - but disables zone and copy protection information - enabling DVD playback outside of its intended region or to make backup copies of DVDs one legally owns. It can also be used to copy CDs. It can also be used on Windows Vista (32 bit only) to allow upscaling of protected DVDs on an analogue monitor.
